Education company PhysicsWallah (PW) organised the WBJEE Felicitation Ceremony in Kolkata to recognise the outstanding academic performance of its top-ranking students. Sujay Bhattacharya (AIR 18) from Halisahar, Akash Huzzat (AIR 32) from Sodepur, and Prayas De (AIR 61) from Arambagh, were amongst those felicitated.
Akaksh Huzzat said, “My WBJEE preparation was challenging. Initially, I enrolled in a different offline institute but I was easily distracted and also wasn’t benefitting enough from those classes. So I started watching PW Bangla’s videos online to get conceptual clarity. The teachers explained things in detail and in a way that was easy to understand, which made a significant difference in my preparation. These lectures helped me get Rank 32. Thanks to that I’ve now enrolled in IIT Bombay.”
Along with WBJEE, the ceremony celebrated the efforts of West Bengal students who secured good scores across examinations in 2025, including NEET and Class 10 & 12 boards. Tanaaz Sultana who secured 9th rank in the state for class 10 along with Anubhab Mandal and Abhradeep Bera who secured rank 8 in class 12 were also felicitated.
Anubhab, the Class 12th Topper, spoke about the challenges he faced, saying, “I struggled with the differences between the West Bengal Board and CBSE syllabus, and just three days before the exams my father suffered a heart attack. It was one of the toughest moments of my life. But my PW teachers kept me going, supporting me and helping me prepare. With their guidance I secured 8th rank in the state.”
Alakh Pandey, Educator, Founder and CEO of PhysicsWallah, said, “Congratulations to all the students who have cleared these exams with such great scores. Your focus, resilience, and commitment reflect the spirit of consistent learning. At PW, we try to build systems that prioritise clarity, consistency, and access. As an educational organisation, we try to remain committed to improving how learning is delivered — not just for outcomes, but to provide educational equity. And to those who didn’t achieve the result they hoped for, this is just one step in a long journey.”
The event concluded with emotional moments of pride and encouragement, inspiring students across the region to aim high and work hard in their educational journeys.
