In a significant step towards integrating India’s rich knowledge traditions with modern skill development, the Management & Entrepreneurship and Professional Skills Council (MEPSC) on 18th November signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bhaktivedanta Research Center (BRC), at a ceremony held at the Press Club, Kolkata.
The MoU was formally signed by Dr. Sumanta Rudra, Managing Trustee of BRC, in the presence of leaders from MEPSC and Nalanda Learning Systems Private Limited.
The collaboration aims to embed the profound values of the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) -including holistic learning, value-based education, early cognitive development, and cultural grounding into the Pre-school Facilitators and Caregivers Certification Program of MEPSC. Under this partnership, MEPSC and BRC will work together to:
Develop training content rooted in Indian Knowledge Systems for early childhood educators.
Design research-backed modules focusing on holistic child development, cultural literacy, and character formation.
Undertake joint research on early childhood learning approaches inspired by ancient Indian pedagogy.
Explore long-term collaboration in curriculum innovation, faculty development, and future skill development needs in early childhood care.
Establish a knowledge exchange program between BRC scholars and MEPSC’s training ecosystem.
This strategic partnership reinforces India’s commitment to NEP 2020, which emphasizes the integration of IKS in all levels of education, especially early childhood-considered the foundation of lifelong learning.
Dr. Sumanta Rudra, Managing Trustee – BRC said, “At the Bhaktivedanta Research Center, we view this collaboration as a strategic and natural progression in our commitment to Indian Knowledge System aligned with the goals of Vikshit Bharat.
