Altigreen Launches World’s Fastest Charging 3-wheeler ‘neEV Tez’ in Kolkata

India’s leading commercial electric vehicle maker Altigreen on 21st September launched its all-new neEV Tez, world’s fastest charging 3-wheeler, at an event held at the Press Club in Kolkata. Altigreen’s neEV Tez features 3-in-one connector that lets the user choose between Normal, Fast and Superfast charging options. The neEV Tez requires 15 min charging for a full charge at e^pump, up to 1 hour at the Bharat DCOO1 charging station, or 3.5 hours for normal charging with 220V/16A regular power socket, and comes with a 5 years standard warranty!

The official launch of Altigreen’s neEV Tez in Kolkata also served as a platform for the delivery of 20 neEV Tez vehicles to cargo aggregator, Platinum Trucking. The company has plans of attaching the vehicles to Amazon Fresh for last-mile delivery. By opting for the reliable neEV Tez, Platinum Trucking wishes to utilise their assets for multiple trips, thereby increasing efficiency and minimising operational costs.

The event was graced by the presence of Mr Debashis Mitra, Director – Sales, Service & Marketing, Altigreen and Mr Rishabh Jain, Managing Partner, Platinum Trucking, among others.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr Debashis Mitra, Director – Sales, Service & Marketing, Altigreen, said, “The last-mile sector is rapidly growing through electrification and easily delivers multiple shifts in operations. Altigreen neEV Tez is best fit for this need as it charges in under 15 min. Logistics players are electrifying their fleet to make maximum utilization of fleet which runs in multiple locations across the city. To facilitate the same, we are the 1st in the industry to introduce Smart Flexi-charging options in neEV Tez. With neEV Tez coming in last mile delivery, it can directly compete with existing ICE driven vehicles in the fleet. By switching to an EV fleet, logistics companies can drastically reduce their operational cost, enhance their fleet utilization, and finally gain carbon credit points due to Zero emissions. neEV Tez, in other cities, is already being used upto 20 hours a day for logistic operations”.

He also added, “The adoption of electric vehicles for rethinking urban logistics and innovative last-mile solutions is critical for creating sustainable and efficient transport systems. By utilising EVs, emissions can be reduced, with improved operational efficiency, thereby resulting in greener and more resilient cities. It is about time we embrace these transformative measures to shape a future where logistics aligns with environmental sustainability while meeting the ever-growing demands of urbanization. By joining forces, we can create a brighter and greener future for our cities.”

Sharing his thoughts on the occasion, Mr Rishabh Jain, Managing Partner, Platinum Trucking, said, “We are extremely pleased to partner with Altigreen to introduce the neEV Tez to our cargo fleet. Electric vehicles (EVs) are fast emerging as the vehicle of choice across multiple applications. I am happy that last-mile delivery players like us are playing a pivotal role in driving EV adoption in India. By utilising EVs, emissions can be reduced, with improved operational efficiency, thereby resulting in greener and more resilient cities. It is about time we embrace these transformative measures to shape a future where logistics aligns with environmental sustainability while meeting the ever-growing demands of urbanization.”

Today, EV fleets have limited productivity; cargo business owners are facing a few rather pertinent issues, such as long vehicle charging time, inconsistent charging experience, and the need for 3PL players to set up their own hubs to solve both charging and parking. In addition, customers wanting to run 2 shifts (~16 hours) are forced to deploy 2 EVs since the vehicles take too long to charge, thereby decreasing flexibility and increasing the cost of operations.

The Altigreen neEV Tez powered by Exponent solves efficiency and operational issues of the fleet of EVs of last-mile delivery aggregators, by offering 1-hour charging on DC001 network, and a 15-minute full charge at an e^pump, as opposed to the industry average of ~3.5 hours. The vehicle and battery comes with a 3000-cycle life warranty with 100% rapid charging versus the industry average of ~1000 cycle life. With the neEV Tez, customers can now use the same vehicle to complete two shifts, thereby increasing their productivity and earning more profits. Additionally, with a public e^pump network, customers don’t have to install charging hubs further boosting profits.
