The Astor Hotel Kolkata located at Shakespeare Sarani organised a special Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on 7th December to ring in the winter festive season. As the city woke up to December rain, friends of The Astor gathered to celebrate the nip in the air against the backdrop of the heritage property.
Talking about the occasion, Mr Amit Kobat, General Manager at The Astor Kolkata said, “Welcome everyone to The Astor’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony for the second year in a row. For many people, this ceremony means many things and for me it signifies hope, love and reaffirmation of all things positive. The renonwed kitchen at The Astor served mocktails made with orange, black pepper, basil and fresh ginger and mulled wine along with bruschetta, smoked salmon tart, lemon grass chicken tikka, fish skewers and slices of Christmas cakes.
