Capacity Building Program for Cost Accountants Was Organized in Kolkata

A capacity building program for members was organized by Tax Research Department of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India on 12 January at Rotary Sadan, Kolkata.

The program was entitled as ‘Certification on GSTR 3B and 2A Difference’. Mr Sarthak Saxena (IRS), Joint Commissioner, CGST graced the event as chief guest and speaker. Mr Saxena inaugurated the event by lighting of lamp. Inaugural session was attended by Mr Rajat Kumar Basu, Additional Director & Head of Tax Research Department; Mr Chittaranjan Chattopadhyay, Chairman of Indirect Tax Committee and Mr. Biswarup Basu, past President of the Institute.

The speakers of the technical session were Mr B. M. Gupta, vCFO, GST & Management Consultant; Mr Manmohan Daga, practicing Cost Accountant and Mr Sarthak Saxena, IRS.

“We regularly organise this kind of capacity building programs to help our members upgrade themselves professionally”, Mr Rajat Kumar Basu, Head of the organizing department.

“This program will strengthen the domain knowledge of our members on GSTR 3B & 2A”, said Mr Chittaranjan Chattopadhyay.

Practising Cost Accountants from Kolkata and other districts attended the session.

“It was highly beneficial for us”, said Mr Abhijit Dutta, a practising Cost Accountant & member of the Institute.

The Institute of Cost Account of India is a statutory apex body for the cost accountancy professionals in India. The organization is headquartered in Kolkata.
