Eastern India Optometric Association (EIOA) organized ‘Eastern Regional Optometry Conference’ on 5th February at Rotary Sadan Kolkata. The Chief Guest of the event was Padmashree Dr Vipin Buckshey,
Consultant Optometrist of President of India, Rastrapati Bhawan. Tollywood actors Anushka Chakraborty and Remo also graced the event as guests.
In the conference many doctors and optometrists presented their research papers. EIOA has organised this conference for the first time in Eastern region for Northern & Eastern India.
“I am delighted to attend this conference of EIOA in Kolkata. Papers presented by doctors and young researchers of optometry highlighted some very important developments”, said Vipin Buckshey.
“EIOA was established in 2002. It emphasises on the improvement of visual heath and prioritizes patient care through leadership in education, research and service”, said Madhumita Deb, Senior Optometrist & General Secretary of Eastern India Optometric Association
“The conference was solely dedicated to delivering quality education in the Optometric space with the right professional attitude to reach the goal”, said Sujit Banik, Senior Optometrist & Organising President of the conference.
“EIOA has completed 20 years successfully. EIOA has always taken a step ahead for the welfare and upgradation of optometry fraternity”, said Debjani Chakraborty, Optometrist & Organising Assistant Secretary of the conference.
