IEM’s Tech Fest Showcased Cutting-Edge Innovations

Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM), leading engineering and management college in Kolkata, organized the 10th edition of its annual techno-management fest, ‘Innovación 2023’ on 10 March. The fest showcased the most recent developments in innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology. More than 25 events were scheduled for the tech fest, which started on Friday evening and will continue until Sunday.

In the past year’s tech fests, the students of IEM tried their hands at making low-cost EV bikes, different robotic automations, an AI-based humanoid that answers all your queries, an aerial forest ranger, an air quality regulator, and many more.

Shri Gaurav Sharma (IPS), the Commissioner of Police, Bidhannagar Police; Prof. Dr. Satyajit Chakrabarti, President of IEM – UEM Group; Prof. Dr. Satyajit Chakrabarti, Director of Institute of Engineering & Management, Kolkata; Shri Hari Krishna Pai (IPS), Deputy Commissioner of Police of Special Task Force, Kolkata Police; Shri Jaspreet Singh (IPS), Bidhannagar Police zone, Deputy Comssioner; and Mr. Sanjoy Chatterjee, NASSCOM Regional Council, East & Member SME Council graced this year’s inaugural ceremony.

The three-day tech festival included a variety of events and exhibitions, such as Coding, Gaming, Hackathons, Entrepreneurship, Science Model Exhibition, Robotics Competitions, Electroslides, Poster-making Competitions, different Project Exhibitions, Olympiad & Quiz Competitions, Bullmaster, Stock Market Prediction Competition, and many others.

Young students are likely to be drawn to several tech events, and 4000 people are expected to attend each day in order to compete in various events and visit different stalls.

To conclude the tech fest, the successful participants are about to get more than 3.5 lakh worth of prizes.
