Indian Society of Nephrology Announces Highlights of the 53rd Annual Conference to be Held in Kolkata

The Indian Society of Nephrology Conference (ISNCON) is set to make history once again as it returns to Kolkata after almost a decade. This prestigious event, scheduled from December 14th to 17th, 2023, promises to be a ground-breaking experience, bringing together over 2000 Nephrologists, Post-Graduates, and Medical Practitioners from across the country.

This year’s ISNCON conference features six unprecedented hands-on workshops. The spectrum of these are wide – ranging from fundamental concepts like genetics and histopathology to cutting edge developments in interventional and critical care nephrology. These parallel sessions, highlight the conference’s commitment to training post-graduate students and early career nephrologists.

Distinguished nephrologists, like-Dr. Saubhik Sural, Clinical Director, Dept of Nephrology and Kidney Transplant, Peerless Hospital; Dr. Arghya Majumder, Director & Head, Department of Nephrology, AMRI-Manipal Hospitals, Dhakuria; Dr. Jayanta Dutta, HOD Nephrology, Manipal Hospital, SaltLake,Visiting Consultant, Charnock Hospital, Kolkata, Dr. Sandip Bhattacharya, Senior Nephrologist, Apollo Multi-specialty Hospital, Kolkata; joined by Dr. Sandip Mitra, Professor of Nephrology, Manchester University Hospitals Foundation Trust, will lead four days of scientific deliberations, panel discussions, debates and workshops, to facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration in the field of nephrology. ISNCON 2023 aims to address the challenges faced by kidney patients in India as well as the world, during natural disasters and pandemics, by exploring strategies to mitigate disruptions in accessing diagnostic services, treatment, and care during such crisis. This conference also aims to highlight the importance of nephrologists in addressing the problem of chronic kidney diseases at the grassroot level, ensuring that scientific advances reach patients in remote areas.
