Guru Nanak Institute of Technology Hosts their Pre-Poila Baishakh Celebration ‘Naba Anande Jago’

Guru Nanak Institute of Technology (GNIT), a prestigious college of JIS Group Educational Initiatives, hosted one of the all-time great singers of Rabindra Sangeet, Shri. Mohan Singh Khangura, in a captivating performance as a part of their Pre-Poila Baishakh Celebration on 12th April. The event, titled “Naba Anande Jago,” unfolded into a magical evening of melody.

Shri. Mohan Singh Khangura, renowned for his unparalleled contributions to the world of music, graced the evening with his soul-stirring renditions of Rabindra Sangeet classics. Mohan Singh Khangura’s musical journey has garnered recognition both nationally and internationally. Noteworthy among his accolades are the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 2013, bestowed by the Sangeet Natak Akademi under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, the esteemed Bangobibhushan Award in 2014 conferred by the Government of West Bengal, and a felicitation in 2011 by the Punjabi Academy of New Delhi.
