Eastern India Regional Council of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) organised its 17th Regional Conference of Practising Company Secretaries on 02nd December, 2023 at Fairfield by Marriot, Kolkata.
The mega event was inaugurated on 02nd December, 2023 by Shri Biman Banerjee, Hon’ble Speaker, WB Legislative Assembly, Chief Guest, CS B. Narasimhan- Vice President ICSI as Special Guest, CS Sandip Kumar Kejriwal- Council Member, ICSI, CS Rupanjana De- Council Member, ICSI were also present.
CS Soumya Sujit Mishra, Chairman, ICSI-EIRC, welcomed all the dignitaries to the mega conference. Other Regional Council Members were also present during the Inaugural Session.
Shri Biman Banerjee said CS are high caliber professional who are assisting the corporate world to follow compliance. They are advisor of the corporates to be good citizens by practicing good corporate governance.
At 1st Tenchincal session Past President of ICSI, Dr. (h.c.) Mamta Binani, and CA Aman Singh Bhadoria Manager GYR Capital Advisors Pvt. Ltd. deliberated on How SME IPOs are shaping India.
At 2nd Technical session CS Makarand Joshi, PCS deliberated on Compounding of Offence, Ajudication of Penalities and Special Court.
At 3rd Technical session CS Kaushik Mukherjee, Company Secretary, Chief Legal Office & Executive Director, PBCL, A RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group Company, CS Sandeep Lakhotia, PCS, CS Santosh Kumar, Regional Council and CS Hansraj Jaria, PCS deliberated on Emerging opportunities for CS in Practice.
At 4th Technical session Dr. Shibashish Giri, Deputy Head, Biomedical & Biotechnological Centre, Germany deliberated on how lead a stress free life on daily basis
At 5th Techincal session CA Sanjiv Sanghi, Vice Chairman, EIRC of ICAI and Mr. Vishal Dave Founder, Revolucion, deliberated on Technology and Practicing Professionals.
The delegates participated in the event were from Eastern Region consisting of Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, North Eastern States, Odisha and West Bengal.
The event was coordinated by Shri Surya Narayan Mishra, Regional Director, EIRO of ICSI and the Officials of the Eastern India Regional Office.
