International Yoga Day 2025 Celebrated with Inclusive Spirit by Fitness Guru Soumen

On 21st June, Kolkata witnessed a vibrant and inclusive celebration of International Yoga Day 2025 at Press Club, Kolkata led by acclaimed fitness icon Soumen Das, founder of Soumen’s Workout, under the banner of the Jago India Jago Fitness Campaign. The event, held at 7:30 AM, brought together participants from all walks of life in a powerful demonstration of unity, well-being, and holistic health.

Titled “Yoga for Every Generation,” the initiative aimed to make yoga a truly accessible and transformative experience for all, regardless of age, health condition, or physical ability. The specially curated session addressed the unique needs of diverse participants — from children with disabilities, who engaged in safe, confidence-building movements, to overweight children, who enjoyed beginner-friendly yoga designed to encourage a healthier lifestyle. It also supported individuals with diabetes through stress-reducing postures and breathing techniques, while senior citizens aged 50 to 80 practiced gentle, chair-based yoga to enhance mobility, energy, and overall wellbeing.

The event reflected the core values of Soumen’s Workout — fitness through natural methods, mindfulness, and intergenerational inclusion.

“Yoga is a tool for wellness that everyone can access — regardless of age, size, or health condition,” said Soumen Das, . “This celebration wasn’t just about postures; it was about building confidence, breaking barriers, and nurturing lifelong health together as a community.”

With a legacy of over 26 years, Soumen’s Workout has impacted thousands of lives by promoting machine-free, natural fitness and a strong mind-body connection. The International Yoga Day 2025 celebration echoed that very philosophy — wellness that is practical, inclusive, and sustainable.

Adding to the meaningful morning was Kreamz, the official celebration partner, who provided healthy post-yoga refreshments — making sure that mindful movement was followed by mindful nutrition.

The event concluded with a sense of unity and rejuvenation, reminding participants that yoga is not about perfection, but participation.
