Karate Player Ranjita Sinha Selected for Asian Games Final Trial Camp

All Bengal Sports Karate-Do Association (ABSKA) and Karate Association Of India (KAI) held a felicitation ceremony on 26th June at Kolkata Press Club. Last week on 19th and 20th June a selection trial camp of Karate players was conducted in Delhi for the upcoming Asian Games by Sports Authority Of India (SAI) under the department of Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs (Government Of India). In this selection trial Ranjita Sinha from West Bengal stood 2nd among all the participants from approx 23 states along with the teams of ITBP, CRPF, ARMY & SERVICES, ASSAM RIFLES those who participated from all over India. Ranjita Sinha has made West Bengal proud as she is the only player who got selected for the upcoming Asian Games final trial camp in under 55 Kg women’s seniorcategory.

So on behalf of ABSKA and KAI, Mr. Baikunth Singh (President of ABSKA, Jt. Secretary KAI), Shihan Debasish Mondal (Gen. Secretary ABSKA, RC Member KAI, Gen. Secretary EIKA), Sensei Bhoju Hela (Treasurer ABSKA, RC Member KAI), Sensei Nilotpal Dutta (Referee KAI), Sensei Vishnu Bhagwan Sharma (Referee KAI) are going to felicitate Ranjita Sinha for her amazing achievement.

In this felicitation ceremony as Guest of Honour Mr. Biswarup Dey (Ex-Jt. Secretary & Ex-Treasurer CAB, Councillor ward no 48 KMC), Kaushik Das
(Inspector Headquarters, Kolkata Police), Sujay Kumar Chanda (Retd. IPS) were present there to grace the occasion with their immense presence.

Apart from all these, there is also a good news to us. Participants from West Bengal achieved 25 medals (4 Gold, 5 Silver and 16 Bronze) in the last All India National Karate Championship 2023 which was held from 31st May to 2nd June 2023 at Talkotra Stadium, New Delhi. So absolutely it’s a proud moment for us because all the players of ABSKA are achieving their target with their hard work and dedicated, devoted and determined effort. So we should collectively encourage them for their better future.
