Mr. Atin Ghosh, MLA of Kashipur-Belgachhia assembly constituency, announced the schedule and other details about Kashipur-Belgachhia MLA Cup U-19 Cricket Tournament 2025 at a press conference on 24th February. The tournament is aimed at nurturing young cricketing talent and promoting the spirit of sportsmanship among the citizens of the constituency. This year’s tournament is being organized in memory of Late Shreekesh Jhawar to honor his contributions to the sports fraternity.
The 3 day long tournament will be inaugurated on 28th February by legendary cricketer Sri Dilip Vengsarkar and joining him would be the renowned names of Indian Cricket Shri Wridhhiman Saha and Shri Lakshmi Ratan Shukla. The matches will be played on 28th February, 1st and 2nd March. The final Match is scheduled at 4 pm on 2nd March and prize distribution ceremony to be held on the same day and expected to be graced by Iconic Maharaj of Indian Cricket Sri Sourav Ganguly.
Among the major attractions of the tournament, U19 cricket teams of Mohun Bagan and East Bengal, two iconic clubs of Kolkata, will participate in the tournament. This addition promises to make the tournament even more exciting for fans and spectators alike.
