Sunrise Masala, in association with Windows Production selected five ordinary women whose work make them extraordinary. They made themselves financially and socially independent by overcoming a lot of barriers and criticisms from the society. They were felicitated by Sunrise for their courageous journey in an event on 11th May.
Ritabhari Chakraborty and other casts and crew of ‘Fatafati’ were present in the event to celebrate their journey.
Produced by Windows and presented by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, “Fatafati” is Aritra Mukherjee’s third film after ‘Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti’ and ‘Baba Baby O…”. The story revolves around Phullora Bhaduri, a tailor from the suburbs with a gifted sense of designing is ridiculed for being on the heavier side. Can she become a fashion influencer despite the odds?
Ritabhari Chakraborty shared, “Fatafati is a film which celebrates each and every woman and their dreams. I feel so glad that Sunrise has taken this amazing initiative to felicitate women who are striving everyday to live their dreams. My character ‘Phullora’ in the film represents each one of them. They are real life Ms. Fatafati”.
