Usha Restaurant hosted the Dhakai Food Pop-Up Festival, celebrating the authentic flavors of Bangladesh. This special event introduced food lovers to traditional Dhakai cuisine, filled with rich spices, aromatic rice, and mouth-watering delicacies.
On 10th February the festival was inaugurated in the esteemed presence of celebrity chef and food curator Nayana Afroz, along with veteran restaurateur and entrepreneur Mr. Jayanta Chatterjee. Guests indulged in a menu featuring 11 specialty dishes, each bringing out the unique taste of Bangladeshi culinary heritage.
The menu includes delicious dishes like Dhakai Kacchi Biryani, Cox Bazar’s Roast Chicken, Chattogram er Chingri Morich Polao, and Uttorbonger Kesar Firni. Each dish was carefully curated to provide an authentic experience, reminding guests of the deep-rooted traditions of Bangladeshi cuisine.
“For the first time, South Kolkata experienced the vibrant flavors of Dhaka in such a grand way. Through this festival, we wanted to offer a taste of Bangladesh’s rich culinary heritage, bringing people together over food that tells a story of tradition and culture.” said Jay Ghosh, co-owner of Usha Restaurant.
