The inaugural day of KolkataWood 2025, held today at the Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan, has marked a promising beginning for the event. Organized by Nuremberg Messe India, this exhibition is a significant milestone for East India’s wood processing, furniture, and mattress industry.
With over 150 leading brands showcasing their latest technologies, KolkataWood 2025 is set to bridge global innovations with regional opportunities. The exhibition features cutting-edge machinery, modern materials, new design solutions, and next-generation mattress technology.
Smt. Vandana Yadav, IAS, Managing Director of West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation, praised the event, saying, “West Bengal is brimming with potential, driven by robust infrastructure, increasing investments, and a skilled workforce. KolkataWood will play a crucial role in leveraging this potential.”
Gabriel Manig, Deputy Consul General of the German Consulate, added, “We are encouraged to see Nuremberg Messe India entering the East Indian market with KolkataWood, which will strengthen Indo-German business relations and accelerate the growth of the wood and furniture industry here.”
