Book launch is an emotion of togetherness and warmth an author shares with her beloved readers. It’s a celebration of creativity blended with literary intellect. Rituparna Khan’s (also known as Raina) book launch on the evening of 5th January at New Town Boimela bore a testimony to such kind of celebration with in-depth discussion on Raina’s new book Her Story Beyond Dimension. This was followed by wonderful musical performance and poetry reading. Eminent discussants and poets graced the event with their August presence.
Among some stalwarts there were present Amita Ray, Gopal Lahiri, Aneek Chatterjee, Sharmila Ray, Rupa Majumder, Ipsita Ganguli, Gopa Bhattacharjee, Lopa Banerjee, Raja Chakraborty, Naina De, Sreetanwi Chakraborty and Tapaja Chakraborty.
Musical performance by Sanghita Sanyal, Mainak Chakrabarti and Shuvayu Bhattacharjee added flamboyance and melodious charm to the show. Flawless photography by Hiran Roy captured the moments in beautiful frames. Tanika Bhattacharya and Sarbajit Sarkar coordinated and moderated the event very well. Publishers Sarbajit Sarkar and Mridula Sarkar, co-owners of the publication house ‘Haoajan’, are doing wonderful jobs by giving a publishing platform to promising writers like Raina.
